The cultural imperative to succeed in school causes serious mental health problems, and the film’s mission is to shine a light on this issue"

I just watched the film and I am blown away. For real. I was so emotional by the end of it and you all did a . great job at making a powerful and honest piece of work. Right away in the beginning, the dialogue was on point. My parents have said those exact types of things to me throughout my life and all I could do in those moments is be awkwardly silent. You definitely portrayed the narrative accurately and powerfullyin a way that even people who aren't of Asian descent will understand.

It was so relatable and powerful in a way that I felt like I could finally  relate to something, and the struggles that Asians and Asian Americans go through was something that was haunting; a lot of people can't relate or don't think that the academic pressures are "a big deal" and this film definitely showed how much it truly is in the Asian household.

This is beautiful. I really hope that this film can engage the community in thoroughly understanding the importance and complexities of emotions and mental health. Ultimately, I just want people to know how much of an impact her film can have. This film beautifully articulates the weight of expectations in life.
